Master Moden Yabiku
(1882-1945)
He was the first teacher to put together in one martial art the techniques of various weapons of the peasants of Okinawa.

Master Shinko Matayoshi
(1888-1947)
Contemporary of Yabiku, he was also one of the first men to study all the weapons, adding techniques learned in China and Manchuria


Master Shinken Taira
(1897-1970)
Direct student of Master Yabiku, in addition to continuing his work, he introduced the Kobudo in Japan

Master Shinpo Matayoshi
(1921-1997)
Son of Shinko Matayoshi, he continued his father's work. He was the first teacher of Master Toshio Tamano.

Master Eisuke Akamine
(1925-1999)
Direct student of Master Taira, was the last teacher of Master Tamano
